Two brothers, same name.
Pete and Pete are two redheaded brothers living in the somewhat surreal town of Wellsville. Pete, the older of the two, narrates the stories about their adventures in everyday life.

As summer ends, the Petes and Ellen try to befriend Mr. Tastee the ice-cream man, but they soon learn that being an ice-cream man is supposed to be a lonely job.

11. Space, Geeks, and Johnny Unitas

Ellen and Big Pete are stuck doing reports on different topics for their end of the year projects in science class. When Ellen has trouble finding an alien for her project, the school geek might be able to provide the answers to her questions.

Little Pete and his father unite to beat a neighborhood nemesis in a race between a station wagon and a remote-controlled toy car after a 16-year-old feud.

13. New Year's Pete

On New Year's Eve night Little Pete looks back on his failed attempt at a resolution to change the world. As he sees it the only thing he needed was the Riley Retro-Fire Jetpack to fix countless problems worldwide. With the failures of seasons past he becomes more and more desperate for the $456.98 needed to buy the jet-pack. In this episode Little Pete enlists the help of Big Pete, Artie, and even Frank the crossing guard.

This year, however, Big Pete is overcome by hormones and asks Ellen out on an official date. He enlists the help of his nemesis, "Endless" Mike Hellstrom, to help the date go smoothly. Mike lends Big Pete his customized Ford Mustang convertible and teaches him the nuances of dating. When things don't work out right, Big Pete is forced to use the power of the time warp to fix things with Ellen before their friendship is lost forever.

Dad gives the Petes the ultimate test of responsibility - a weekend with the house all to themselves. But when Little Pete sells the house to another family, it's up to Big Pete to set things right before Mom and Dad return home.

2. The Trouble with Teddy

Big Pete offers to let his friend Teddy stay over while his parents are away and begins to notice just how many annoying habits Teddy has. Meanwhile, Little Pete tries to get in touch with the land.

3. The Good, the Bad, and the Lucky

After placing his two-headed penny on a train track to "recharge" its luck, Little Pete realizes the stunt may derail the Midnight Express. Can the Nightcrwalers reach the tracks before Pit Stain and his gang?

4. Splashdown!

Big Pete tries to obtain the coveted position of Senior Lifeguard while Little Pete fights to abolish adult swim. Big Pete is forced to choose between the power of the lifeguard chair and his friendship with his brother.

5. Dance Fever
Air Date: 1995-11-05
Little Pete attends his first school dance and Big Pete develops a crush on the lead singer of the hired band (Luscious Jackson). Pit Stain learns of Little Pete's fear of dancing and tries to exploit it, and Nona tries to avoid the embarrassment of dancing with her "Pop," (Iggy Pop) who takes the stage and sings a song for her.

6. Crisis in the Love Zone

Spring fever hits Wellsville hard and everyone begins dropping like flies. Big Pete is smitten by a star member of the tennis team, Ellen realizes her true feelings for him, and Pit Stain is head over heals for Nona. Little Pete falls for Eunice Puell, the mail lady, despite his most sincere efforts to avoid love through his mantra, "Love bites." Nona is the last to go, finally falling for Little Pete. The results of this immense love web build toward a climax.

7. Last Laugh
Air Date: 1996-04-01
It's April 1st and little Pete has planned the best April Fool's joke ever. With the help of Nona, Monica the KrebScout, Wayne, and surprisingly, Pit Stain and his cronies, he pulls off the mother of all pranks. The butt of his joke? Principal Swinger and a group of eight singers that come to the school annually to promote hygiene.

8. Allnighter
Air Date: 1995-11-23
Little Pete, Monica, and Wayne get trapped in the school after it closes and are stuck for the night. They attempt to elude a fearsome school legend, who they are eventually forced to confront.

9. Road Warrior
Air Date: 1995-11-30
Big Pete and his friends reach the age of responsibility and take Driver's Ed from Mr. Slurm, the shop teacher.

10. Pinned!
Air Date: 1995-12-07
Big Pete tries to get a varsity letter and climb to the top of the social ladder the easy way by joining the wrestling team, and finds that individual sports are not a cakewalk. He trains for a confrontation at the big match with "Endless" Mike Hellstrom, and is coached by Ellen, a huge wrestling fan. However, Ellen's efforts to coach Big Pete are threatened by the school's wrestling coach, Beano Glattner.

11. O' Christmas Pete
Air Date: 1995-12-14
Little Pete prolongs Christmas for as long as possible after the holiday's end, in an attempt to keep the neighborhood in a constant aura of yuletide joy. His efforts are threatened by a bitter garbage man who enjoys destroying Christmas trees and the holiday spirit they represent.

12. Das Bus
Air Date: 1995-12-21
Big Pete chooses to become schoolbus driver Stu Benedict's apprentice for the week to be near Penelope Ghiruto, while Ellen stocks vending machines.

13. Saturday
Air Date: 1995-12-28
The gang spends a typical Saturday in Wellsville. Ellen tries to deliver a pizza dressed as a bunny, Wayne tries to keep his new white sneakers clean, Monica keeps the streets safe as she looks for an evil ninja, Big Pete gets a haircut, and Bus Driver Stu gets frustrated with a traffic light that rarely changes to green, and when it does, won't stay that way for more than a few seconds.
