This time, however, Kochi shows a more dependable side after learning hitchhiking techniques from Kono during the previous trip. Meanwhile, although his juniors, Rinne and Takeyuki, enthusiastically throw themselves into the challenge, a simple oversight causes them to make a series of mistakes, earning them a scolding from Kochi. With time running short, they'll need to make full use of both their wits and stamina as they race to complete their bingo card.

Faced with a level of pressure and urgency they've never experienced before, the possibility of the show's first-ever failed bingo begins to weigh on their minds. If they fail to complete the bingo, the next area won't be unlocked, and the journey will have to restart from the Tokachi region. As a result, the next travelers, Fuga Onishi and Masato Takemura, can only watch anxiously to see what happens. Unsure whether they were even in the right place, the three continued walking along the mountain road. Then, just as filming for the first shoot came to an end, Season 2's new rule came into effect. Just as the three were about to begin visiting the area's crater lakes, they discovered that completing the route would take more than two hours. On top of that, an unexpected setback awaited them, pushing their physical stamina to its limits. While searching for a place to spend the night, Kochi proposed pitching their tent somewhere other than a campsite. Just getting to Hyuga City, the gateway to Shiiba Village, requires traveling over 100 km. When they stop at a roadside station along the way locals tell them "You'll need a great deal of determination to make it to Shiiba Village." To conquer all seven prefectures of Kyushu within this season they need to clear Miyazaki as quickly as possible during this shoot and move into the Kumamoto area. Their first destination is Manai Falls, the final remaining mission in Miyazaki. As usual, they begin hitchhiking but for the first time since the show began, they experience an unprecedented encounter and Kochi can't hide his delight. Feeling dejected, Mayumi runs around the surrounding area alone, searching for someone willing to let them stay the night. Meanwhile, Kochi and Takemura also approach everyone they can find at the roadside station, but they too fail to find anyone willing to help and begin to lose hope. Then, a miracle happens for the desperately searching Mayumi. The next morning, the trio sets their sights on completing the Kumamoto Bingo by checking off "100 Kumamon statues" and the Okoshiki Coast at low tide. After pushing ahead with the mission until the very last moment before time runs out, the three place a save spot at a certain location, passing the baton to the final leg of the journey. On the last day, Kochi is joined by Chiino and Takemura, who was unable to make much of an impact during the previous Kumamoto leg. They must press on quickly to complete all seven prefectures of Kyushu, but once again they find themselves struggling with the new rule.

At last, Kochi, Chiino and Takemura make it into Oita Prefecture. It's already 3:00 pm but they still haven't completed a single mission. For the time being, they begin hitchhiking toward a cave sauna whose location they already know. The three somehow manage to arrive before closing time. Kochi suddenly comes back to his senses and realizes they still haven't figured out where they're staying that night. Since they're in a remote area, they decide it's best to travel to a somewhat larger town before the end of the day so they'll be in a better position for the next day's activities. By the time they arrive, night has already fallen, and they can't find any accommodations. Drawing on what they learned in Kumamoto, they switch to a new plan: asking someone if they can stay in their yard. But the station in front of them is unmanned, and there are hardly any people on the streets. The three steel themselves for the possibility of walking through the night.

Two missions remain on the Oita Bingo card. Kochi, Chiino, and Takemura set their sights on Fukashima and Prefectural Route 635, first attempting to make their way to Fukashima island. They discover that the ferry to Fukashima runs only three times a day, and if they miss the departure four hours later, completing the bingo will become impossible. To make matters worse, the ferry departs from Kamae Port, about 60 kilometers from their current location, and finding a car heading there is no easy task. Nevertheless, Yugo's intuition and persistence work a miracle, and the trio somehow manages to reach Kamae Port in time. Their other remaining mission is to drive along Prefectural Route 635. Once they enter the designated area, they are allowed to rent a car and complete the mission themselves. Yugo gets behind the wheel for the first time in the show's history, but with filming time quickly running out, even a single wrong turn could make clearing the mission impossible.
